Sang Gerai is a halal chicken rice restaurant from Johor Bahru serving Nasi Ayam, wok-fried classics, and our signature Teh Tarik. Rebranded in 2025 from Grand Chicken Rice (est. 2019). Our Signature Roasted Chicken Rice is slow-prepared over 12 hours, marinated with 26 traditional ingredients, then roasted for juicy meat with golden, crispy skin. Served with fragrant rice, wanton soup, and house-made Sang cili and sambal kicap. Malay Muslim-owned and JAKIM Halal-certified, Sang Gerai is more than a chicken rice shop, also serving gerai favourites like char kuey teow, nasi lemak, curry laksa, and lamb fried rice.
